FAQ Answer

Q. Can the library help me convert a DVD or VHS to a digital file and provide streaming access so that students can watch it asynchronously?

Answer

Reproduction of video content for instruction is subject to complex copyright restrictions. As a rule, permission from copyright holders is required before converting a DVD or VHS to another format, or streaming the content. If a streaming version is available on the academic library market, the library may be able to acquire a license for USF faculty, students and staff to view it.
